904L stainless steel (UNS N08904) contains 20% chromium, 24% nickel, 4.3% molybdenum, and 1.5% copper. It exhibits excellent performance in non oxidizing acids such as sulfuric acid (0-98%), acetic acid, and phosphoric acid, and can withstand any concentration of sulfuric acid below 70 ℃.
Excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion, suitable for chloride containing ion media.
