The purpose of a ball valve with fire and static electricity prevention function is to provide a ball valve that can effectively eliminate static electricity, have outstanding sealing effect in the event of external fire, and prevent the leakage of flammable or toxic media. Fireproof and anti-static structures are commonly found in soft sealed ball valves. The position of the red circle is for fire prevention planning, which means that the valve seat is made of PTFE material embedded inside the stainless steel material, and a tension spring device is installed behind the valve seat. If a fire hazard occurs, after the soft sealing material softens, the metal ring will press against the ball due to the tension spring returning, preventing leakage. Anti static structures are generally installed between the valve stem and the ball to dissipate static electricity. More precisely, it should be called a fire safety type, and the common practices are mainly in terms of seat planning and packing selection. Soft sealed floating ball valves are designed such that when a fire occurs, the soft seat ring burns out, and the ball moves downstream. A sealing ring area on the seat ring holder or valve body will press against the ball and replace the original seat ring to maintain the sealing state. The soft sealed fixed ball can only rely on the retaining ring; Metal sealing does not exist, and its essence is fire safety; The same applies to fillers, mainly using non combustible flexible graphite instead of conventional PTFE or reinforced PTFE as fillers; Furthermore, regarding soft seat ball valves, it is necessary to install anti-static equipment to promptly dissipate the static electricity generated by the conflict between metal balls and non-metal valve seats.
